Zoom App Installation & Usage Guide
For Zoom Account Administrators
1. Installing the App
To install the app:
- Go to our Zoom app installation page: https://app.zime.ai/settings
- You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize the app
- As a Zoom account admin, review and approve the requested permissions
- After approval, you'll be redirected back to our platform where setup will complete
⚠️ Only Zoom account administrators can install the app.
2. Permissions & Data Access
Our app requires admin-level scopes to access and manage meeting recordings and transcripts across your organization.
| Scope | Purpose |

| meeting:read:admin | View meeting details across the account |
| cloud_recording:read:list_account_recordings:admin | List all cloud recordings |
| cloud_recording:read:list_recording_files:admin | Retrieve individual recording files |
| cloud_recording:read:recording:admin | Access and download specific recordings |
| cloud_recording:update:recording_settings:admin | Modify settings related to recordings |
| cloud_recording:read:*:master | Used when accessing recordings from sub-accounts (if applicable) |
These permissions allow the app to:
- Detect and fetch recordings and associated transcript files
- Download audio and transcript files automatically
- Store them in your organization's workspace within our platform
3. How We Use and Store Data
Once installed, our app:
- Automatically downloads audio files and transcript files of meetings hosted by users in your Zoom account
- Stores these files securely in your organization's private cloud workspace on our platform
- Makes the recordings available for internal use cases like documentation, compliance, knowledge management, or AI processing
🔒 All files are stored encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols (e.g., AES-256, HTTPS).
🚫 We do not expose meeting recordings to any third parties or use the data for analytics unless explicitly requested.
4. Uninstalling the App
To remove the app from your Zoom account:
- Visit: https://marketplace.zoom.us/user/installed
- Find our app in your list of installed apps
- Click Uninstall and confirm
This will:
- Revoke all access tokens
- Stop all data sync from Zoom
- Trigger secure deletion of any remaining Zoom tokens and metadata
5. Compliance & Security
All data is handled in compliance with Zoom's terms and your enterprise privacy policies.
- Recordings and transcripts are only accessed after admin approval via OAuth
- Tokens are stored securely and refreshed automatically
- You maintain full control over what meetings are recorded, stored, and accessed
