Prep Notes

Your game plan for the next external call

Last updated: July 2026

Prep Notes

Prep Notes help you enter an upcoming external call knowing the risk to handle, what winning the call looks like, and the three moves most likely to move the deal forward.

They are not call summaries or detailed account briefs. Zime analyses the available context in the background and gives you a short game plan for the upcoming call.

Why this matters

Knowing the deal is not always the same as knowing how to run the next call.

A rep may already know the product, pricing, timeline, stakeholders, and what happened in the previous conversation. What is harder to determine is which risk needs attention, what this call should achieve, and which moves are most likely to move the deal forward.

The winning strategy may already exist in the sales playbook or in the direction set by the CRO and sales managers. But reviewing long playbooks, CRM records, and previous calls before every meeting is not practical.

Prep Notes close this gap. They translate the relevant sales strategy into a short game plan the rep can read before the call and use during the conversation.

What Zime does

A Prep Note is a pre-call game plan for an upcoming external meeting.

It gives you:

  • The key risk or status: what requires your attention first
  • The win condition: what a successful outcome from this call looks like
  • Your three moves: the actions most likely to move the deal forward

Zime builds the game plan using the relevant context available for the meeting. This can include the mapped deal or account, CRM information, previous recorded calls, attendee context, objections, open commitments, stage criteria, and the sales playbook.

The goal is not to show everything Zime knows about the deal. The goal is to identify the few moves that matter for this call.

How to think about Prep Notes

Think of Prep Notes as Google Maps for winning the deal.

The analysis and routing happen in the background. Zime reviews the available context, identifies the risk, determines what the call needs to achieve, and recommends the next three moves.

The rep still runs the call and owns the conversation. Prep Notes provide the route aligned with the strategy the CRO and sales managers want the sales team to execute.

What Prep Notes are not

  • Not a summary of the previous call
  • Not a detailed account brief
  • Not a script to follow word for word
  • Not generic sales advice
  • Not a replacement for the rep's judgment

They are forward-looking guidance for the upcoming call: the risk, the win condition, and the moves to execute.

Who this is for: Sales reps

Prep Notes are designed primarily for the rep running the external call.

They help the rep understand what requires attention, what the call should achieve, and which moves to execute without manually reviewing CRM records, previous calls, and playbook documents before every meeting.

Who this is for: Sales managers

Prep Notes help sales managers create consistency in how the team handles objections, follows the sales playbook, and applies the expected strategy for each stage and deal situation.

The objective is consistency in the plays being run across the team.

Who this is for: CROs and sales leaders

Prep Notes help carry the sales strategy into every external call.

They turn the direction set by the CRO, sales leaders, and sales managers into practical moves that reps can execute during real deal conversations.

The primary experience remains rep-first: one short game plan delivered before the call.
